Catch & release

Have you seen this movie? Its about how Jennifer Gardner, or Gray, has to come to terms with her life after her fiancee passed away. Not to mention that she ended up realizing that it is possible for you to be in love with one, yet falling for another (Fritz, dude in pix).

I think this movie is real in many ways. Life is not perfect, like how Gray found out about her cheating fiancee's love child after he passed away. Or like how she is so perfect, yet she falls for her fiancee's best friend, Fritz. What is interesting also is how you can have varying degrees of feelings for different people. You can be in love with one, yet have a crush on another. As long as you keep your crush in check, that is.

What this movie got me thinking is this: would you walk away from the person you love, like what Fritz did? Or would you hold on for as long as you can? Its a classic catch 22. If he hadn't walk away, Gray would have never come to terms with her feelings for him. They would forever be in this limbo, should we or shouldn't we. But if he walked away, who knows if she will go chasing after him?

Perhaps the movie is called "Catch & Release" because Fritz caught Gray, but he had to let her go to see if she would come back to him. If she does, kudos to the couple. If she doesn't, then they were never meant to be.
