At last

Last night, we were finally able to get together and celebrate my birthday. Before the event, Nikki and I got together to check out her new pad. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get in the door due to lock issues, so we tabled that for a later time.

Off to the restaurant we went. It was great to see how everyone did with the dress code, an outfit that epitomizes life in the 30s. Tamara showed up in an off the shoulder nude number, Lei in a baby-doll, Ms. Alby in snowy white, Nikki in "little Ms. Trouble", and Ajantha sitting pretty in black. Food was Mediterranean style tapas. The feathery light frites were our favorite. The dessert drinks were a closed second. Forgot what they were called. Something having to do with a male body part.

Poor Ms. Alby was working hard all day, and nearly fell asleep during dessert. Fortunately, she perked up during our discussion about Scotchgard, and was graciously enough to offer a demo should we need it. Actually, I believe we were scheduling a Goodwill visit, followed by a Scotchgard demo, no? We also helped Ajantha figured out what to do during a first date. She will have the hopeful read a passage from the pickles book. BTW, Ajantha does a great imitation of Ms. Nikki's hair tousling... mighty sexy, let me tell you.

We were green with envy when we saw Ms. Nikki's driver license pix. Apparently, she took it after a night of partying. All we can say is if that's a straight roll out of the bed pix, we will all excuse ourselves to cry in the corner.

At the end of the night, we realized that there's a reason we are all in marketing... for we all had something to sell.
