Last night, the gals got together for another fashion exchange. Since a get-together ain't a get-together without food, we grabbed some grub at Delancey Street Restaurant before hand. Thanks to Michelle, we were able to arrive at the restaurant relaxed and in style (i was in my post-pedi flip flops!)
The food was yum. My favorites were the grilled portobello mushroom/ garlic clove and sweet potato pie. The mushroom was out-of-this-world. The company, was excellent, albeit this is the first time that the five of us dined together. Alby showed up in a hot sleeveless sweater accented with a leather belt. I am pointing this out because I wished she was donating that number to the exchange. Sigh. The lucky girl's got a girl's vegas trip coming up. All of us offered her tips on what to do there (sleep is over-rated, go check out certain shows, etc.) Any chance that you can bring us along, Alby? It is also during dinner, where Ajantha let it slipped that we were (gasp!) not her friends. I knew it!
Then, we moved to the fashion exchange, where I scored Michelle's blushing pink sandals and sun dress (mucho gracias, senorita!) Then, there is Ms. Alby who entertained us with donning of Lei's dance costumes. We were quite jealous of her lithe physique.
I have to say, we might want to allow more time to pass between food and the fashion exchange, as many of us suffered from a severe case of food coma at the exchange. Nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves by regaling each other with stories and what-nots. We ended the night with Ajantha scoring the #69 tank. Any chance we will see that again, Mya?
Thank you, Lei for organizing, Michelle for the rides, and Alby and Ajantha, for the pure entertainment!
