Can it be...

November already? This year is just flying by. As usual, we had our family reunion this month, thanks to my NYC sister for coming home.

We met up for dinner in Cupertino on Saturday. Even before we met up, there was already drama with the dinner location between my sisters and my parents. Then, there was the storm. I was scared driving in the heavy rain and gusty wind. Luckily, I made it on-time, and dinner went without a hitch. We had a big group spread out across an even bigger round table with a lazy susan. So big that we had to get up to reach for the dishes. Not to mention holding a conversation with someone not sitting next to you. End result is that I never got a chance to talk to my NYC sister. My cousin and his wife did though.

I realized that I don't have much to say to my sisters at times. Just feel like we live in different worlds... working vs. not, married vs. not, with kids vs. not. The ironic thing is, I probably chat more with my future sister in law than my sisters. Not because I don't like my sisters, but our wires don't seem to connect when we email. As for talking on the phone, we rarely talk unless there is an upcoming family event. Such is life. Six is the lonelist number.
