Forever thine, forever mine

Yesterday , I heard that my favorite grandmother passed away. My mom was in a philosophical mood, a rare form. I spent the rest of the night trying to play messenger, and help my parents book tickets to Taiwan.

My aunt was very creative. She couldn't reach my parents, so she had my cousin call me instead. I was surprised to get a call from Taiwan, but was happy to help out. Thank goodness for my phone since I was able to use it to type Chinese to complete part of the task. My parents are now finishing up the rest since my other sister dropped the ball.

I am not sad, for I know my grandmother would not want me to feel this way. I am thankful for having the opportunity to spend time with her. I remember my grandmother would always get food for me when I used to visit. I guess that's why I love to make food or things for people that I care about. Although I would not be accompanying my parents on this trip, I know that my grandmother will be in a good place. For she is forever mine, as I am forever hers.
