Happy new year, you all! Hope you all had a good one. We visited LA for our annual vacation. This time around, we checked out India town in Artesia. Its 4 blocks of Indian food, shops, you name it. It is here, that I had falooda, basically a rose flavored ice cream float with vermicelli, almond, etc.

I even had sugar-free sweets. The fig bar, was pure yumminess. To top it off, we had street eats from Mumbai. A vege kiddi burger topped off with pomegrante seeds and fried peanuts. Yes, it was pure bliss. Not to mention the paan. You betcha we will be making a return visit to that place.

Its been quiet since we came back to the bay area. We missed the sun, the beach stroll, and the nice weather. Of course the food. And everything was so affordable! Sigh. Wondered why it took us so long to go back to LA in the first place.

We celebrated new year quietly, as bf was down with a cold. Which he promptly passed on to me. I usually don't mind being sick, but toppled with lack of sleep, it sort of sucked. O yea, and our shower has been out of order for the past two days, as its sprung a leak to our downstairs neighbor. So we have been having maintenance folks stop by, making all sort of noises. Hopefully, that will end soon.
