It was refreshing to spend time with family and friends last week. I was out and about with my cousin in the city on Tuesday, and went down south for the weekend. This time, I spent more than a day in San Jose, so it felt less like a whirlwind.
I went with my friends to an old high school hangout, Oakridge Mall. Its nothing like I remembered since the remodel. Its got two, maybe three good stores. I especially enjoyed Papaya. Then, we went for a quick dinner at the food court. Surprisingly, Sorabol was disappointing. Probably one of the worst food I had in a long time.Despite trying to work my magic on it at home, I just could not make better. My dad seemed to enjoy it though.
On Sunday, my parents and I had Korean for lunch. That, was way better. A hot bim bim bap and tofu stew. Hm Hm Good. Then, I caught up with my sister and hung out at Milipitas. Even had a hot red bean green tea with some pearls. That, was like coming home. Then, my sister, my brother in law and I went to dinner at Newark. A not 10 minute trip to Walmart later, I began my drive home, and made it to the east bay at 11PM. It was very nice to spend one on one time with my sister, reminded me of the old days.
