About two weeks ago, I looked at things from a new perspective. Instead of having a mile high list about my wants for a perfect job, I slashed the list to my needs for a will do job. The two big things that fell off the list: proximity, full-time status and established firms.
Because of that, I am interviewing around the peninsula, going for contractor positions, not to mention talking to start ups. I don't know where this will land me, but heck, its better than me sitting at home, developing a vampire look with my pale skin.
So what's the lesson in all this? Recategorize your must haves into needs, wants and nice to haves. Who knows. you may have just hit the jack pot on your road to a job.
