- The neighbors: Since they are not there by your choice, you are bound to have issues with them at one time or another. We have lived next to all-night party people, parents that lock their children outside in the name of punishment (who does that), and our current downstair dwellers, or as we like to call them, the fryers. They luv to fry onions, fish in all hours of the day. Mornings and late nights are their favorites. These people express their disgruntlements with us by banging on the ceiling (remember that episode of friends). O, and they love to smoke and BBQ.
- The roundabout users: Since we live at the end of a driveway which happens to be a roundabout, we get all kinds of visitors throughout the day. Garbage trucks, tourists, you name it. People love to park here as well. Its really great when their car alarms go off in the middle of the night too.
- The birds: There is a tiny tree near the boardwalk, and my, do our feathery friends like it. Although its not as bad as our last unit, where the tree was right outside our window, its still sucky to wake up to a crack of the dawn bird assembly. Can you tell sleep is very important to me?
- The laundry room: My biggest pet peeve has to be the careless people that cannot tell your clothes are drying in the drying machine (despite the clear window). They stop your drying mid-cycle, open the door, and once they figure out there are clothes in there, they close the door WITHOUT pressing the start button. You come by later to pick up your wet clothes. The only solution seems to be sitting in the laundry room and watching your clothes like a hawk, which loads of people do. I used to make removable signs and stick them on the laundry machines... and people throw them away. What gives.

I am not going to lie, this blog is a rant about apartment living, which I am sure you all can understand.
